Acai Bowl

I’ve been inspired by SugarMamma Canna Campbell (been binge listening to her podcast for the last month) on her “Frugal February” challenge.

I am not a big shopper, spend minimum on clothes, don’t drink at home, or dine out often but there are certainly areas where I could save…enter me jumping head first into the challenge.


200g banana, frozen (I use 150g in the smoothie, 50g for decoration)
1 sachet of organic Acai
40g organic almond milk
50g frozen berries
40g dark roasted crunchy PB. Don’t even attempt to engage in an argument about this - dark roasted crunchy is the only PB.

  1. Blend banana, acai & almond milk for 10 seconds or until smooth.

  2. Tip into a bowl

  3. Now the fun part - decorating - use whatever you have - I like some banana, berries & PB but you could easily use some granola


My teenage son LOVES acai bowls - they are normally his weekend treat but we have set a challenge not to have cafe-bought for the rest of the year. Wish us luck.
